In answer to your direct question to me, yes. “How to Be Single” does have a less-than typical rom-com ending. ***SPOILER*** Dakota Johnson’s lead charecter ends up choosing the single life and going for a hike at the end of the movie. Rebel Wilson DOES play the wacky “Rebel Wilson” role and not a straight-forward lead so I don’t know how having her as the Caine role in “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” would work out. My side note about “HTBS” I saw it by myself while I was on a girl’s weekend out of town and I ended the movie missing my husband and baby – so not sure the movie did what it intended since I was longing for family and monogamy at the end of it.
Ahh, the classic “I choose me” Kelly Taylor option. I can respect that.
